The North of Scotland School of Anaesthesia oversees anaesthetics training in the Grampian and Highland Healthboards. This website is focused on training in the Highlands. The Aberdeen Anaesthesia website has a wealth of information about the anaesthetic department and training in Grampian. The Training Programme Director and Regional Advisor in Anaesthesia are both Aberdeen based. One day there will be a North of Scotland School of Anaesthesia public page also, likely named something like NoSSoA.
When you secure a Core Training Number in the North of Scotland, you will normally be based in either Aberdeen or Inverness for the three years of Core Training.
Specialty Trainees entering the programme at ST4 may spend their ST4 year in Inverness and the remaining period of training based in Aberdeen, or vice versa.

This is quite a new site. It will contain links to the Inverness Anaesthesia Quality Improvement database, information about trainee representation, and resources for both Doctors in Training and Clinical and Educational Supervisors.
